Leigh Ann's Story
After graduation-May '71 I went to Liberal, Ks. to spend the summer with a friend (Marcia Freeman).-graduated from Pratt, 1970, We rented a very SMALL house (she was going to hairdressing school) My plans were to come back and go to school at Pratt Juco in the fall but found a good bookkeeping job and stayed in Liberal. Met and married by husband, Joel Curtis, in 1973.( so glad to get rid of maiden name!!) We spent entire married life in Liberal until spring of 2010 when I relocated here in Pratt to care for my mom. retired ( from Northern Natural Gas) in April 2011 and joined me in Pratt. He called himself the "weekend warrior for the year he stayed in Liberal and drove to Pratt each Friday night)! We have 2 grown children- Heather in Woodward Okla.- married with 2 boys, 16 & 11 and son Tyler in Emporia, Ks married with 2 girls- 4 and 16 mos.
Needless to say being a granny is a blast!!
